Biomimetic Dentistry
What is Biomimetic Dentistry?
Biomimetic means to copy or mimic nature. Biomimetic dentistry is a type of tooth conserving dentistry — treating weak, fractured, or decayed teeth in a way that keeps them strong and seals them from bacterial invasion. This philosophy of dentistry replicates the strength, function, and esthetics of natural teeth by replacing only damaged, decayed, or broken teeth structure. In our office, biomimetic dentistry has practically eliminated cutting teeth down for crowns and other traditional treatments. Our patients are happier and often spend less because of our conservative approach to dentistry. Both dentists and patients can testify that teeth restored with biomimetic restorations feel and look like real teeth and they can be confident that the potential of failure including root canals and fractures has been reduced or eliminated all together.

Biomimetic Dentistry is Conservative
Our office philosophy is “less dentistry is the best dentistry”. Significant removal of tooth structure can be eliminated with modern science and technology. Periodontal disease and caries (decay) can be eliminated with modern therapies, hygiene, and proper home care. Dr. Feins, Dr. Peluso, Dr. Scrivo, Dr. Richards, Dr. Atlas and Dr. Gomez strongly believe that a conservative approach to saving tooth structure will benefit our patients with longer lasting restorations and longer lifespan of teeth.
